Orange & Rockland Utilities has partnered with Adam Leber, owner of Pearl River’s The Stitchery, a yarn and needlework store and the source for high-quality supplies!
The Stitchery is taking part in O&R’s Small Business Energy Savings Program, in order to upgrade the store’s lighting, expand visual experience for both employees and customers, and keep its nearly 70 year history going strong. When Adam spoke with O&R, he explained how his partnership and decision to utilize the Small Business Energy Savings Program led to great insight towards saving money and energy. He also notes how the benefits of upgraded lighting makes a positive impact on the way his business functions, and brings a highly visual experience to his local Pearl River storefront.

O&R’s authorized contractor, SmartWatt Energy, Inc. provides free energy assessment services, which allows businesses to receive suggestions from professionals on how to make lighting and refrigeration more efficient. In addition to an evaluation by SmartWatt Energy Inc., O&R will pay up to 70 percent of the cost for any energy improvements made.
