Hudson Valley P-TECH Student Visit in May

Blue Hill Plaza is teaming up with Hudson Valley P-TECH for a student visit on Friday, May 4th, 2018!

A group of 11th grade high school students from Hudson Valley P-TECH will be visiting businesses and corporations throughout our Plaza buildings on Friday, May 4th.

Students and accompanying teacher chaperones will be available from 10:00am – 1:00pm and will spend time with companies for 30 minute time slots for a tour and/or discussion!

The visit will allow students to gain knowledge on job and career options for the future, and allow them to hear related feedback outside of the classroom setting.

About Hudson Valley P-TECH

Launched in September 2014, Hudson Valley P-TECH is an integrated, six-year STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) program that offers a rigorous academic curriculum, targeted technical training and comprehensive workplace learning in a dynamic, project-based learning environment.

P-TECH students begin taking college coursework by 10th- or 11th-grade and graduate with an associate degree at no cost to their families.

Through partnerships with private sector partners, P-TECH students participate in one-to-one professional mentoring and career-related internships–and will be the first in line for local STEM jobs after graduation.
